In 2021, Taylor and Jay started The Drain Guys, serving DC, Maryland, and Virginia. It was the usual beginning: one truck, a cell phone, and a lot of nights spent writing quotes at the kitchen table. A few years later it is a multi-million dollar plumbing company specializing in heavy excavation and trenchless sewer rehabilitation.
Two years later we helped found Blackburn Chimney, which grew into a large chimney business. Around the same time Chris started Swept Away Cleaners and turned it into one of the house cleaning companies people in the area actually recommend.
Three companies, three different trades, and the exact same problem in every one of them. The software was terrible.
When something went wrong, support was worse. Long holds, canned replies, and someone reading off a script who had never worked a service job in their life, trying to explain our own business back to us.
We were paying real money every month for tools that were clearly built by people who had never sat in a truck at seven in the morning trying to figure out where a crew was supposed to be.
Founding members Taylor and Christian are software engineers with decades of combined experience building platforms and tools for some of the world's largest and most prestigious brands. Albertus later joined after years leading technology teams as a Director of Technology. Chris heads up support and sales, bringing his experience running Swept Away Cleaners to conversations with our customers. Together, we paired that experience with the daily work of running service companies.
BlueSuite is built for all trades and home service businesses, from plumbing and HVAC to cleaning, landscaping, and beyond. Quoting jobs, scheduling crews, and getting paid are part of every service business. We built one platform to handle it all, and we use it in our own companies every day.
We launched in 2023. Today, more than a thousand home service businesses around the world run on BlueSuite, with support from our fully US-based team.
We are not former operators telling war stories. These are running right now, and every one of them runs on BlueSuite.
A plumbing and drain company serving DC, Maryland, and Virginia. It started with one truck and has grown into one of the biggest in the area, doing millions a year.
drainguys.com →A chimney company we helped get off the ground as a minority owner and investor. It went from a standing start to a multimillion dollar business in about two years.
blackburnchimney.com →Built on a simple idea: show up when you said you would and do the job right. That was enough to turn it into a cleaning company people in the area recommend by name.
sweptawaycleaners.com →None of this is on a poster in an office. It is just how we decide what to build and what to leave out.
We are headquartered in Florida and every email and every call is answered by our fully US-based team. No offshore call center, no ticket that sits for three days, no script read by someone who has never worked a service job. You get a person who understands the question the first time.
Every screen and every pixel gets argued over before it ships, and we measure all of it against how the work actually happens: the quote written in a driveway, the change order at four in the afternoon, the invoice sent from the truck. If your newest hire cannot figure it out without a training session, we built it wrong.
Everything we build goes into our own businesses before it goes to yours. If it slows down a Monday morning dispatch, it does not ship.
Software should not be one of the biggest line items on a growing company's books. We priced it so a two person crew can afford the whole thing, not a stripped down version of it.
We were paying separate companies for scheduling, invoicing, payments, and a website that nobody could update. All of that belongs in one place, and now it is.
A lot of what is in BlueSuite today started as a feature request from our user base. Small ideas from the field turn into releases in weeks, not quarters.
